Day 1 – Canadian Vacation Begins – Calgary to the Canadian Rockies
The cool, crisp air in Calgary is invigorating as you start your Canadian winter vacation. Meet your transfer at the Calgary Airport and ride in comfort as you enjoy the changing scenery through the Canadian Rockies. Spend the night in Banff, one of the liveliest mountain towns on your Canadian holiday. Quaint shops give off a warm welcoming glow, and the scent of homemade maple fudge wafts out of sweet shops.

Day 2 – Explore Banff and the Canadian Rockies
You have 3 options to choose from today:


• Option 1: Explore Banff & Banff Gondola Admission
You have a full day to explore Banff on own with admission to the Banff Gondola included. Journey to the top of Sulphur Mountain, glide up over the treetops and step out into a jaw-dropping mountaintop experience at an elevation of 2,281m (7,486 ft). There is a boardwalk to enjoy, theater with short shows, and interpretive center. The scenery is stunning – you won’t want to miss this!

• Option 2: Johnston Canyon Icewalk
This popular ice walk will lead you past the lower falls to the breathtaking upper icefalls. Travel through prime wildlife habitat and learn how Johnston Canyon was formed. Walking distance is 5.4km (3.4 miles) with an elevation gain of 125m (443 ft).

• Option 3: Paint Pots Snowshoe Adventure
Strap on snowshoes and venture across the frozen Vermilion River! Suitable for beginners or experts, enjoy the views of Banff National Park as you walk approximately 3km (1.9mi) through the beautiful crisp snow. After this winter snowshoe, enjoy a uniquely Canadian treat – hot maple taffy frozen in the fresh snow.

Day 3 – Discover Winter Paradise in Banff
You have 3 options to choose from today:

• Option 1: Massage and Spa Experience
Relax in the Canadian Rockies with the feeling of pure serenity. A visit to a luxurious spa surrounded by mountain vistas and ancient glaciers provides the perfect setting to restore and revitalize. Enjoy being pampered with a 60-min signature spa experience and access to spa facilities.

• Option 2: Dog Sledding Tour
Travel to Canmore, about an hour from Banff, where you will meet a team of friendly huskies waiting to whisk you through the wilderness of the Canadian Rockies. Harness the dogs and drive the team yourself, or simply enjoy the experience as a passenger. Either way, this is sure to be one of your most memorable Canadian experiences. Includes transportation to Canmore.

• Option 3: Snowmobiling Adventure in the Rockies
This exciting adventure offers fun for the whole family. Canadian Rocky Mountain vistas surround you as you ride through the snowy powder in the Kicking Horse Valley above the tree line. Enjoy a delicious mountainside BBQ lunch with your fellow riders while warming up by the fire before heading back to town.

Day 4 – Travel the Icefields Parkway – Banff to Jasper
The morning is at your leisure in Banff. This afternoon, travel north along the Icefields Parkway, on one of the most scenic highways in the world. Each turn reveals frozen waterfalls and impossibly vast mountain valleys, so keep your camera ready! Your day concludes in the rustic mountain town of Jasper.


• Upgrade Option: Icefields and Bubbles Heli Safari (additional cost)
Join a winter experience like no other along the icefields parkway, beginning with a 2.5 hour transfer north. Achieve an incredible view of the icefields with a 20-minute helicopter tour, soaring over glaciers and frozen lakes, and landing in a remote spot for a pristine snowshoeing experience. The highlight of the day is visiting Abraham Lake for a photo safari of the naturally occurring bubbles trapped in the ice. After an exhilarating winter adventure, continue north along the Icefields Parkway in a warm and comfortable private transfer with driver, taking you all the way to your hotel in Jasper.

Day 5 – Explore Jasper
You have 3 options to choose from today:


• Option 1: Half Day Train Journey to Dunster
This is the perfect tour for train enthusiasts. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Canadian Rockies aboard VIA Rail’s Skeena train. Experience both the train and a small personalized sightseeing tour all in the same day. Travel the shores of the Fraser River to the historic Dunster Station and into British Columbia’s stunning Robson Valley.

• Option 2: Marmot Basin Ski Day
Enjoy Jasper’s fluffy powder snow and spectacular mountain scenery while you spend the day on Marmot Basin. There are 91 ski runs to choose from spread over four mountain faces with 3,000 vertical feet of drop. Lift ticket and choice of ski or snowboard rentals are included today.

• Option 3: Jasper Food Tour
Discover the town of Jasper on a walking food tour. On a short 1.5km (1mi) guided walk learn about the town of Jasper while enjoying delicious tastings of food and drink at the best restaurants in Jasper. Tour includes four tasting locations with alcoholic drink pairings.

Day 6 – Discover Jasper National Park
You have 2 options to choose from today:

• Option 1: Maligne Canyon Icewalk
If you’re feeling adventurous, strap on some ice cleats and walk the floor of Maligne Canyon today with a group and expert guide! You’ll be surrounded by icefalls and rock formations that will take your breath away! Learn about Jasper’s Maligne Valley and disappearing Medicine Lake as you walk approx. 3km (2 miles) exploring one of Jasper’s most impressive winter adventures.
Activity rating: Moderate

• Option 2: Jasper Morning Discovery Tour
Join a knowledgeable guide and small group to seek out and learn about the ecology and rich diversity of Jasper National Park! Travel through the Athabasca Valley to some of the park’s most beautiful Canadian Rocky Mountain scenery – have your camera ready to capture amazing photos! There is minimal walking on this tour, so sit back and enjoy the winter scenery from the comfort of a sightseeing mini coach.

• Upgrade Option: Dog Sledding Tour (additional cost)
Travel by dog sled along 22km (13mi) of pristine winter scenery in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. Learn the history of the area and the people amongst the crisp mountain air and the beautiful scenery that surrounds you. Enjoy lunch cooked over an open campfire, hot apple cider, and homemade treats. Tour includes transportation.

Day 7 – Icefields Parkway – Jasper to Calgary
Today you have a second chance to capture any pictures you may have missed on your journey up the Icefields Parkway. Sit back and enjoy the scenery as you journey back to Calgary Airport for the final night of your Canadian Rockies winter vacation.

Day 8 – Depart Calgary

Much too soon, your winter vacation in Canada comes to an end. Depart from Calgary Airport at your leisure.
